Well, I moved my son from the city out to the country and in our first hour of being here, South Dakota, he shot out the rear driver's side sliding window with his Red Ryder BB gun. We were unpacking the truck and he found his BB gun and asked if he could go shoot. I was so exhausted from the drive I just told him to go for it and be careful. He was proud of the shot and said he thought we would just tape it.

Anyway, I grabbed a new window assembly from Jim's Yota Yard but wasn't there to watch them disassemble it. I have no idea how to remove the broken window assemble and install the new one. I have had difficulty finding a how-to thread for this and was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, no help but great story. You should just tape it:p . Also, congrats on moving to the country.

Seem to recall I saw a fellow remove a forward slider by loosening a few screws on the top behind the trim, then push up on the glass & pull out on bottom edge - since the tempered glass probably blew or will with the slightest flex, you might just try taping a bunch lightly to avoid it crumbling on the interior. (Just to save some vacuum work)

No clue if it's the inner / rearmost 1/2 of the window.

Phil ( @LandCruiserPhil ) - might know the exact mechanics of this since he has those nifty 'gullwing' panels, just taking a total guess there.

Here is my video on how to remove an 80 window. Not sure if it will help with a 60 window but with an 80 removal one needs to make sure they remove and install with all windows closed to avoid damage to the frame.

Awesome, thank you! Mine is an 80 so this is great. The next challenge I foresee is how to get that molding back over on the install.
