Damn Nolen, you are supposed to keep it on all fours! Call me Monday. I might ride out if you aren't busy.

Later,

I picked up Chris Beggerly's 4" lift from Tom at Hell Creek in New Albany on Wed evening. While I was there Tom really came through for us by offering another complete 4" lift for an FJ40 for the SCC raffle. Thanks Tom!

Tom also let me know that the 60/62 4" lift is currently in testing on a 62 in LA that is planning on being at the SCC. Greg, do you know who this could be. The kit has an option to include drop brackets for the tranny crossmember so the front driveshaft has necessary clearance and welding can be avoided. If you want to notch and weld your crossmember, you don't need the optional drop brackets.

Tom did ask for our help on one issue:

Early 60s (81-84?) had a different transmission crossmember. He needs a very accurate measurement of the frame bracket that holds the crossmember. The measurement needs to be center to center of the two bolt holes that attach the crossmember to the bracket. This will determine if the same drop brackets can be used for early 60s, late 60s, and 62s. Barry or Jack, can you get us this measurement? Thanks guys.

I'll crawl down with a tape measure tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to figure out what a frame bracket is.

I can't believe I'm the first to post after registering!!

What do I win??

Really looking forward to the SCC!

....really need to get to work on the GunRunner!

Registering was a snap. Good work guys.

SWEET! Can't wait to hear some feedback and see it at the Southern Cruiser Crawl at Gray Rock.

Do you plan to document the install for future reference?

Please keep us posted.

Maybe I'll be able to figure out what a frame bracket is.

Follow the transmission crossmember to one frame rail and you found it. It is welded to the frame and the transmission crossmember bolts to it. It may be hard to see because its on the inside of the frame rail and the crossmember hangs under it. If you can just measure to the center of the bolt heads, that would do it. They should be the same on the left and right side.

Thanks Barry!

Definitely will document the install with detail and pics as there will be some unknowns to work through. Marty writes many articles so he'll do a good job on the write up. :)

Team Tolleson are registered and ready to go.

Working hard for raffle give aways and now starting to count the days to SCC.

Thanks Euclid for taking the time to get the registration site working.

Hey gang, the Hell Creek prototype for the 62 is going on my rig. I'm waiting for it as we speak. Tom and I have talked extensively about it and I have a group of guys - Volunteer, PscottBx and Tabascoloco - who will help me do the install, take notes and take lots of pics. I plan to relay Tom all the info as we go and then start getting the word out about his product.

I'm excited about the opportunity to help Tom and his company out so we're going to do everything we can to help him make this product great and then get it out to the public.

A one night stay with Jeff in his tent. :D

TJK

OH Boy! Thats one award I'd politely refuse.

But I'm sure someone will take him up on it.

Does anyone know who makes a battery powered C-Pap for sleep apnia? Maybe Chris and Debbie will let me plug into their generator??? Dibbs on the campsite next door to the Tollesons!

Sounds great. We look forward to your feedback.

We have a couple of 60s in our area that need a quality, made in the USA, made in Mississippi lift!

I'm registered - and i actually have something to wheel this time.

Agreed! I saw Larry's set up on his 40 and liked the way that they looked. Also heard some of you folks talking about them. I just happened to talk to Tom at the right time.

I'll keep you all posted. I'm hoping that it comes in today.

Thanks

Marty

I'm all signed up, and have a new 130 amp alternator to keep my lights burning this time.:cheers:
