3FE rough idle after oil pan gasket

I just replaced the oil pan gasket on my wife's 3FE. As soon as I started the car back up after the gasket replacement and new oil and filter, it had a bad idle. Runs fine under power. It always runs a bit rough, but its never been this bad.
Can a leak in the oil pan gasket cause a vacuum leak? I had a hell of a time with the 4 piece gasket kit. The two short pieces at ether end of the pan were flat pieces of cork that need to bend around the curved surface, and they did not want to stay in place during install of the pan. Very frustrating.

Never mind.
Found a loose vacuum tube near the oil filter I must have accidentally bumped loose when putting the new filter on.

Dont buy the Fel-Pro oil pan gasket. Its a POS PITA. Get the Toyota one.

This has been discussed many times. The OEM gasket is 1 piece cork (4 pieces glued together). There are tricks that folks have used to keep the gasket in place while installing the pan. I've used 6 or so hub studs, others have used small plastic clips.

Yeah the second gasket went on super easy and fast. I fallowed a write up on here and used that copper gasket spray. It kind of worked like spray adhesive and kept the gasket stuck to the bottom of the block while i set the pan in place.
I still want to find who ever designed that Fel-Pro POS and kick him in the nuts real hard.

In my experience fel-pro has nearly never been the long term answer. I’ve had decent results but usually never long term results. I often wonder if any aftermarket seal is much better.
