Does this distributor have a cranckshaft position sensor?
It is one of the pick up coils internal to the distributor housing. The FSM does not call it a crankshaft position sensor.

What is the FSM? at the end if i decide to use independent coils per cyl, and i need to tell the ECU the crank position, would that distributor work?

Toyota factory service manual = FSM. You'll see it mentioned everywhere on this forum.
I'm not sure what you're doing or what motor you're doing it to. The 3FE never had independent coils and I'm not sure if it would even benefit from that.

Thanks for helping me understad. Im new around here. Im doing an fj40 with a 2fboclk 3fe CYl head and intake manifold, with a programable ECU and independent coils. Im working on the crankshaft position sensor at the moment, thats why im checking the options. I did modify the 2f original distributor so i can get the crankshaft position sensor on it. But im checking other options. Do you know some one whose done something like this?
