Yep we are getting started in the next couple weeks, SAS is pretty much done and the 2LT popped again so he wants something a little tougher.

Rob

You mean a Cruiser 3B with an H55? I've never heard of such a swap... not that it couldn't be done.... Are you gonna do it? :D

Why use such an heavy engine???

Because its inexpensive, lasts for half a million miles, should get 28MPG, gobs of torque, fits in the engine bay with very little modificatiosn (from our measurements). He will get the H55 tranny with the very nice low first gear, cruiser axles.

Oh............. and because we can......

Kinda thinking this section as its a 1987 original 2lt engine extra cab pickup.

Nice! :steer:

I look forward to the build pics! :D (Which section will you put it in? :D)

Never really thought about it, might just be easier to do that, lots of ideas at the moment and no real plan until the parts cruiser arrives.

Thanks
Rob

with using the entire landcruiser drivetrain wouldnt it be easier to throw a pick up body on a landcruiser frame?

Pipe down! Then the build might go in a different section..... :D

Using both cruiser axles then?

Naw its going in this section regardless.

Prolly only the rear axle as the short side would needs some lovin to fit under the leaf spring(notching on the housing).
