As my overworked and turbo'd B climbs closer and closer to the 600,000 mark I find myself hoping that when it lets go I can find someone who has an extra lying around.... holding up a table corner or something.

Being proactive has never really been my thing or I'd buy it. :D

Yeah I know but here's what I'm thinking....

1. I'm holding out for a B with the 040 casting, B's didnt change much over the years but in 85 they made some changes that me likey.

2. Now that young "Lau ball" is off the rock Ryan will have that engine for a while... at least until I convince him to load it into the 101 and do a package deal.

3. Dont get me wrong.... If my engine was cratered, I wouldn't be so picky but my engine is good and healthy with compression in the high 400's and no signs of giving up any time soon.

4. I have no where to keep it. If I hoard anything else Ill have to build my own goat barn.... and live in it next to that engine. The :princess: isnt a fan of old engines in the living room. (no idea why)

What's the compression supposed to be in a 3b?
I thought your holding out for a 1hz?
 
Service limit is around 350(ish) new is 500(ish)

Id love a 1hz but id have to redesign my front mount intercooler. If a good cheap 1hz came up (yeah right) I go that route plus a custom compound turbo setup.

I think the bottom end is closer to 300.

My old b in my first bj40 was flirting with the 300 mark. from both directions. It smelled bad.

280 I believe is the magic number below which the diesel no longer explodes...but that's getting to be a tired engine...

Package for m101 eh? thought you'd be in trouble if you dragged it home? :lol:

Cuz you know, if you don't buy it soon, you may get your somalian pirate wish when Lauball gets here again.

Being up in the north with no communication other than the occasional grunt from a deer, it'd be a shame if you got back and found out it was in ottawa.

How much is good and cheap. Thinking of off loading my spare 1HZ that came with my mine truck, I sorta need the space as well, but don't need to get rich off it.
 
For 6 I'll leave it looking like this...;-)
