Mine are 15's (balloons) Prolly go to 17's when i go beads. Thanks RK, your rig is sweet also. I thought about swapping engines, but ended up rebuilding the 2f, added an rv cam and TBI. Made a BIG difference on and off road.

ya I would like to go 17 but i aready have some 15 beads. and if i had a 2f i would maybe go propain. But I think i rather go 8 and make front end a bit ligther

I almost went propane, but i did'nt want to carry just 1 tank, and 2 tanks would leave no room in the back or a 40.

we used 16's on the burgandy truck in the vid

Where are you guys getting 17" rims with the correct back spacing for cruiser axle. I am not fond of spacers...

Ha! That would be after you witnessed my finding a loose spacer before the rocks a few weeks ago. :D I'll post up some pics later tonight with 38.5 TSL/SX's and the current 39" setup.

SOA 40 on 39's, 17" wheels, 2" spacers, 30 spline longs, 6 stud knuckles, 6 pin drive flanges, Poly rears, fuel injected and DUI 2F runs good well past sideways, blah blah blah...

Haha...well since you are like the 12th person I have seen on the trail with problems with wheel spacers, so ya it sorta helped. Wish I could afford some krawlers but I should be sporting 39.5 Iroks by GSMTR, I am just having some trouble finding rims that wont require spacers.

So what the verdict on the Polys? You get a free set...I still don't think they should have blown. You wernt thaaaat wedged.

My wheels are 3" backspacing 9" wide, got them thru summit, but I have been told they won't make custom BS for you anymore :frown:

I run 1.5" spacers on mine as well, I have not had any problems with them

I too run 1.5" spacers and 38.5s. I've been running mine for years and have never had a problem with them. I keep hearing about spacers coming loose but of all my wheelin' buddies that run them I've never seen one come loose that was installed properly.

I run 1.5" spacers on mine in the front and rear too. I've never had one get loose. I do retorque them from time to time just to be sure.

Hey Bill, I've got a pic with that same pose!

FWIW, I had 39" IROKs on 15x10" beadlocked wheels in this pic. You can see how much wider they look than the 39" IROKs on 17x8" beadlocks in the first pics I posted in this thread.

My rear axle is a custom hybrid - it's a centered FJ40 third member with mini truck axle shafts. It has a fine splined pinion 4.11 diff with the spiders welded and Chevy disk brakes.
