It's a market specific badging. I've mostly seen them on gulf-spec Land Cruisers. The V35A engine is rated at 17 mpg city, 22 mpg combined and 19 mpg highway.I like how that put a 'twin turbo' badge on it like its an honor or something.
No one wants that cost, complexity and less reliability, just for 1-2 mpg, on a Land Cruiser.
Every time a new engine comes out there's always naysayers and sceptical people. I remember back when the 100-series first came out with a V8 people were worried that it would be less reliable than the ol' 1FZ inline-6. A V8 engine is more complex than a straight 6. Toyota has been building turbo LC's for decades.
