That's a wild build. I wonder why they wouldn't start with a LC79 double cabin vs the amount of custom work to make that out of a LC300. Very cool. Just very high effort to modify the cab, extend the chassis, etc.

They do 79s as well and often 79s are extended as well because Australia has very strict rules about staying with in GVM and have upgrades ‘engineered’/inspected. Also,
the creature comforts of the wagons over the 70 series are immense. People spend a lot of money upgrading the interior of 70 series in Aus. Learned all this from 4wd 24/7 and 4x overland on YouTube.

I've read that the Tundra is likely to be sold in Australia soon and is currently in the validation testing process. If so, that would probably make life a lot easier for this type of build. The Tundra with the 6.5' bed seems pretty close to ideal as a chassis to start with as far as being close to the right length, already a comfortable 4 door cabin, etc. I don't know if the Tundra will come with the diesel engine though.

First LX600 sighting. Diplomat plates. Bring back the split gate!

And I saw one today. Not many can probably say they've seen a 300 on consecutive days in three different colors without owning one. I'd say Lexus of Orland Park does well with their LX clientele.

Has anyone had the opportunity to compare the mechanical rear stabilizer bars of the 200-series and 300-series? Photos?

I’m curious to see the bar thicknesses, widths and mounting points.

For posterity
