3-spd to 4-spd conversion question

I'm doing a 3-spd to 4-spd conversion. I have a 4-spd tranny and t-case, I don't have the bellhousing. Do I need the 4-spd bellhousing?

You not only need a 4 speed bellhousing, but you need our kit #36212 (or somebodys) that includes a new transfer-case drive gear, a machined spacer tube/bearing adapter, a new rear bearing, new oil seal, and gaskets. Drive shafts will need to be modified since the 4 speed is longer.

He has a 4 speed trans AND case. Why would he need a drive gear, spacer, etc.??

I evidently read the question too fast, failed to catch that he also had a 4 spd. T.C., This is just an old age thing, you'll find out some day.
