hey guys my bother's 95 4runner is missing again and his wife drove it up here (Ft Worth) from Midland and it started to not fire in one or a couple cylinders. she flew home and her mom is going to drive it over to my house so i can look at it and fix it. it's been missing before but we fixed it and now it's doing it again. so i'm going to look at all the spark plug wires and distributor and spark plugs. anything else i should look for? the thing that made it miss before was a vacum leak so i'm going to look for that as well. any help would be much appreciated.
 
not too sure about the on/off problem. it had the vacum leak like i mentioned before but as far as i know of that was the first time. i'll ask my brother next time i talk to him. hopefully i can just go pick it up today because if i don't his mother-in law will probably never bring it over.
 
well i drove it home today and there isn't a damn thing wrong with it. my sis in law said that it was definetly idling funny but would clear up when she gave it some throttle. i'm wondering if it's a loose injector or injector wire. we've replaced the HG and cleaned the injectors already but we broke a connector for an injector so that could be it. the check engine light isn't on or anything.

oh yea the injecter connecter did not see that:cheers:
 
figured it out! it was the cap and rotor. when it was driving perfect i just decided to leave it. then i let it sit for like a week and when i started it up this morning to move it, it was missing! so i listened around and i could the sound of a spark not connecting with something and i put my hand around where the sound was:doh:
and guess what, .... i got a nice shock from a plug wire. so i went to orleymen(oriley's) and got a cap and rotor and whala, it's better. i also picked up a can of heet (they didn't have seafoam).
 
yup! it actually wasn't that painful surprisingly. it more like a static electricity shock or maybe a light switch shock.
 
why didn't they have more ministries? but anyways.... and now for something completely different! a man with three buttocks.
