I replaced the head gaskets for a friend in a 92 pickup 3vz. Got it all back togeather attempted to start, it just cranks and backfires through the intake. Messed with the distributer with no luck. Seems like the timing is off. So I took the timing belt back off and reinstalled again, followed the instructions to a T. Still no start and still back firing through the intake.
Is there a way to mess this up if you line up all the marks?
Can it be 180 degrees off somehow?
