I'm curious as to how many versions the floor shift trucks got. Or should I say variations.
Does anyone have a column that tilts and telescopes? Do they all just have a tilt with
single release lever under the column?
I'm asking because I've imported a 2011 VDJ78 Toyota Troopy. Its RHD and has single lever under the column that drops down and also
telescopes. Problem is the steering wheel doesn't really 'tilt' to a more vertical position.
My 2010 RCSB Tundra has column shift but when I tilt the wheel it comes down much more than
the Troopy. Weirdly they come from opposite sides of the world but the steering wheels are identical and the signal & headlight / washer control arms are identical. So I'm asking for help from the Non-column shift people if they think the wheel is coming to a vertical enough. Anyone who has angle finder and
can tell me angle with steering wheel as low and vertical as it can go would be greatly appreciated.
There is 10 deg difference with my angle finder between my Tundra and Troopy. The Tundra being much steeper more vertical pitch - MUCH nicer to drive.
