Well I got the Odyssey 2150 installed this morning. Was about 1 1/2 longer then the stock Panasonic but they fabricated a new bracket and then some extension for the hookups and all was good.

It seems that one of the positive wires goes right into the fuse box and is extremely short so without the extension, it would not have worked.

The truck runs so much better!! LOL....

They were amazed that even with the a/c on high and the high beams on that it still never got above 13.4 volts.

WOW....that feels nice to hear!!!

Ummm I guess we will disregard that fact that Christopher Columbus brought over such illnesses and diseases that killed off almost every other native human on the northern continent!

I think the alternator on the 100 is at least 90A.


140A (US anyway...)

Just noticed that our alternaters are 140A. Open the hood first dummy.

Anyway, I ended up with the Xantrex Pathmaker 100A that was in Overland Journal for my dual battery system. Overland Journal says it will take 100 continous and 400A peak. Is this a safe system or do I need to swap out the solinoid or worse yet, buy another system?

I searched "diehard platinum" and found lots on the automotive version. However, I didn't see anything about the Marine version (deep cycle/starting).
