I'd like to know if anyone here has put the 2JZ (supra twin turbo engine) engine in a mini, I haven't been able to find any engine dimensions to check the space requirement. Some firewall and/or floor conversion I would suspect. Along with that what transmission/transfer case has been used in this combo? I've been playing with the idea of the 4cyl turbo and this may turn out to be a cost effective alternative, since I have recently stumbled upon a possible engine. Ideas, thoughts, advice, all is appreciated.

there was a FOURWHEELER issue from back in 03 i think, that had a red extended cab with a vette engine. he had to mount the radiator in the bed. so i imagine this engine would fit between the fire wall and core support.

i have never heard of that swap, i dont really have any advice. but you may want to contact http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/ they may have done a swap.
the only supra engine ive seen in a truck is the 7MGTE.

From what I've seen an inline six is usually longer than a V8. But I don't really know how much, still trying to come up with dimensions. The width shouldn't be a problem, doesn't look like it's much wider than a 22ret.

Back when I had a 1985 Truck, I had asked Toysport (which was in Gardena at the time) for a 3S-GTE swap... They quoted something like 3k for it. I didn't do it, of course. I think that the 3S might be better suited to the mini than the 2JZ... smaller, cheaper, bolts up to various rwd transmissions, and is rated at 200 hp at 6k and 200 lb/ft torque at only 2k rpm!

I'll try to find the quote, looking at a 2jz in a 2wd on ebay the very knowlagable owner said the I6 was just 4" longer than the 22r it replaced not a big deal untill you realize your dealing with a Toyota.......micro hands needed, sewn in engines.......

I would highly consider the stroke in this motor before I swaped it.......
