It’s been years since I adjusted my fuel pump to increase fuel delivery to increase turbo boost.

I’ve read the book in detail and know the screw on back of pump with locking collar is the one: clockwise on screw to increase fuel is what I’ve been doing but not seeing change and tired of stopping along the road, adjust -find a hill and try again with engine so hot…

So appreciate experienced help so I can wrap this up.

Thankyou

You need to wind the screw out to increase fuel (Counter-clockwise).

This only impacts fuelling at Wide Open Throttle, keep an eye on EGTs.

duncanrm-Wow, no wonder I’ve gotten no where in boost: I’ve been going the opposite direction with adjustments.

Thankyou for your wisdom so very-very much!!

My manual only says to ‘adjust the screw’…

Just returned from test driving-multiple fuel adjustments: amazing the difference turning be screw the correct direction….

Was able to get much more power n he AUS—AXT Turbo; 9 psi, 1150 EGT at 3,000 rpm.

Was trying for 12psi but hit temp threshold and never popped the turbo waste gate….?

Slight smoke at those temp/pressure/rpm….

When I first installed the turbo before restoring the vehicle I could get 12psi easy…something amiss.

Will txt AXT for some wisdom as could use a bit more power climbing the Rocky Mountains here in western USA.

Planning a ‘celebratory walk-about’ after 15 years of restoration once we finalize the turbo-want all to be ‘for sure’ before wandering the mountains.

Thanks again Duncanrm!
