Have you accounted for this?

I don't know what block he used. I think I'll be ok. The early blocks don't have a place for all the crap, but the later blocks do. I'll know for sure pretty soon.

I have some steel and welder/grinder/drillpress/torch to work with, so I think I'll be fine.

IN PROGRESS - Report

Well, I took out the 3F on thursday with no problems (except the two top bellhousing bolts, what a PITA). Friday, I got the 2F back from the engine machine shop. It's bored .5mm over, balanced, the crank is .010 under. This morning, I began putting the 2F together. I have put in the crank, cam, pistons and timing gears. I am using all Toyota gaskets and seals.

Notes so far:
I took some measurements of the height of each block from the oil pan mounting surface to the top of the deck.

3F = 9 1/4"
2F = 11 3/8"

I also noted that I have to use the 2F lifters, side cover, and maybe a water pump.

I will leave all of the accessories in the original locations, but because they mount mainly to the head and the motor mounts, I'll have to do some "extending" of sorts. Also, I'll have to buy all new belts because of the taller block. Monday I should have some pics to show how it's going. I get the 3F-E head back Monday.
