I replacing my timing cover gasket and in the process have decided to replace my radiator hoses as well. In taking it apart I found that the union pipe needs to be replaced. My union pipe does not have a split and i am unable to find one that is like the one i have currently. Is there a plug for a union pipe with a split that I can use instead?

You mean the 3/4" small nipple that comes off the tee? If you are not using the nipple then you prolly don't need the tee at all. Why not just run one lower radiator hose and leave the "union" out?

Yes, the 3/4 inch nipple is not on my union pipe. I was not aware nor have I seen a radiator hose that was long enough to remove the union pipe but will look into it.

The hose is a smaller diameter at the radiator than at the water pump.
