2f oil filter bracket - pressure release valve specs or parts?

Hi All,

I can't find anything in the shop manual, or elsewhere, detailing how to inspect and validate the function of the pressure release valve.

I've cleaned everything thoroughly and verified the piston moves freely. Any info? Optionally - any source for that spring, since it's likely the key piece to replace if there were any issues? I've searched a few of the usual suspects and found nothing.

This is a pic from my Toyota microfiche dated Jan '81. It appears Toyota didn't list any replacement internal parts separately (piston, spring, etc.) like you have displayed in your pic. Good luck with your project.
