2F cylinder head

It came with a disassembled 83 motor. I think the guy was a tinkerer... The head looks like it's in good shape but it's been sitting for a few years. A couple of the valves and springs have been removed (why? ). I pulled the air injection rail and plugged the ports a long time ago, but lost interest in the TBI project. Anyway, I'm not ever going to put the motor back together, so if anybody needs a head, make an offer. In order to satisfy the rules, I'll say $30/obo.

Shipping would be a PITA, but I'm willing to help out for brethren in need. No pics yet, but maybe tonight.

Total of 3 valves, springs, and keepers missing...

Casting #61040, air rail ports are plugged with brass NPT recessed socket screws.


Also missing a few of the manifold studs, and a couple of the rocker arm stand studs.

Underside doesn't appear damamged at all.

Straightest thing I could find was a chunk of angle iron. The picture doesn't really show it well, but there wasn't enough gap anywhere to even see light shining through. If it were mine, I'd get it milled a bit anyway, but it looks like it would work just fine with just some wire brush cleaning.

What fittings did you use to plugs the air injection ports? I been trying to find the exact right ones- 14mm x 1.5 - but they don't seem to exist. I see you used NPT but what size?

Pretty sure they're 1/8" NPT - found them at my local mom-n-pop hardware store in the plumbing fittings.

There are official Toyota air rail plugs available. They came on FJ62s which used the air rail only on 4 of the ports and plugged the other 2. I got a set of 6 from Cruiserdan, so I know you can get them.

Drew, that's weird because I called the local dealer & asked about them. I think I may have told them 2F though, so I'll call back about a 3FE & see if I have any better luck. Rock, thanks for the info. If all else fails, I'll jam some of those brass ones in there. 14mmx1.5 works out to 17 threads per inch & I was trying to figger out which US thread would fit best. It's weird because the top end of the air injection fitting, the rail end is 3/8 NPT, if I remember correctly. Toyota.
