I plan on moving to these (285 Grapplers) from 295/70-18 Cooper STTs. While I really like the coopers and the size for offroad I am using the truck as a DD now. Hoping to get a bit more MPGs back as well as better road manners.

I will update once I get them on, should be within the next month.

I have gotten such good service and prices from Discount Tire that I don't even look anywhere else now. And I've gotten such great performance from the BFGs (MT and AT) over the years, I don't look at anything else now. I'm about to buy my 5th set of ATs (spans two trucks). The current set of 275/70/18 KO2s will be over 65,000 miles (4-tire rotation). That's insane for a 5,600 lb full-time 4-wheel drive. I'll admit it... kinda miss shopping for tires ;)

I've gotten over 50k (8/32nds now) on my 275/70/18 KO2 and I'm well over 7800lbs gross. Been very impressed with those tires (except in rain where they are a little sketchy, but manageable). DiscountTire is great IMO as well. They mounted up and balanced my trailer tires (my old TerraGrapplers) without any question and didn't charge me. They have provided excellent customer service over the years and I don't go anywhere else for tires any longer.

I've been running that exact tire for over a year on my 200 (details in build thread in sig). I feel like it's the goldilocks size for the 200 and 100. Although with my new bumper which provides a lot more clearance, I'm looking to go up to a 285/75/18 Ridge Grappler and will be selling my 285/70/18 RGs soon if anyone is interested.

@mcgaskins popped in here to take a look at tire feedback but have to stop and say wow, your new rig looks fantastic! I love the color-matched bumper, that is extremely choice. :) Hope to see you guys out on the trails this summer.

Glad to see you back on the board and gearing up for wheeling this year! I should be around a lot this summer. I don't know if you're still running 18" wheels or not, but I'll be selling these 34"x11" RGs to move up to 35"x11" RGs if you're interested!

Mcgaskins, Your making me second guess myself and now I want 285 / 75 / 18...... but I dont think those fit really good.

Whats also weird is the 285/75/18 are cheaper then the 285/70/18 wtf........

I'm currently running those 34" Nitto Tires and I couldn't be happier. I previously had on 35s for about 10K and I ran into a number of issues with them so I switched to 34s. I've had on 295/70s for a couple of years and I did like that size but these 34s seem to be the sweet spot for me. They fit up in the fender, better gas mileage, turning radius and I feel like a have a bit more control of the LC when pulling my trailer. I know the size is not that common so i have 2 spares, i only carry one and keep the other in the garage.

So you dropped down to 285 70 18 from 295 70 18 ?
