Hi Friends. Please let me start by saying I have indeed run countless searches, read through the Wheel/Tire thread and table, and done additional research. I even ran the entire 200 Tire/Wheel thread through ChatGPT to get a deep analysis.

I'm looking for anyone who has run/is running 285/65 on an 18" wheel with a 40 offset and no lift; mostly concerned with any rubbing until I DO get the lift on.

Specific Use Case: 2016 LC, currently stock with Michelin Defenders. I would like to run 18" Method 318s (40 offset) with Falken Wildpeak AT4s (116T, not E) in 285/65. No spacers, no lift. Per ChatGPT's analysis, this should be good to go; the 40 offset moves the wheels/tires out just enough to provide ample clearance all around. That said, ChatGPT has never actually driven a Land Cruiser to my knowledge.

Near-future upgrade includes a small (1-1.5") Dobinson's IMS. When I start towing a travel trailer next season, we'll add Firestone airbags.

Anyway, if anyone has run this size combo and can share their experience, I'd appreciate it. Looking to validate what I THINK I've read through countless threads as well as the ChatGPT analysis.

Thanks!

A 285/65-18 is a standard original size on the 200
I went with 285/70-17 same size-ish on evo corse +40 and only rub in full lock on at the inner edge of the front mudflaps. hope this helps

That is not correct. the standard original size on a US Spec 200 is 285/60R18, not 65.
