We'll see. It could just be a dealership thing, but Toyota themselves also tried to blame that YouTube teardown on aftermarket oil filters to save face. Maybe it's a new strategy to go with the hammer test - they're no longer replacing every engine under recall so they need to give the impression that they've fixed the problem.
