Had Lexus dealer do the drain and fill in the past, when I had Slee do my lift and sliders I also had him do plug's fluids, wheel bearings and a complete fluid exchange on the transmission. I trust a LC expert like Slee knows how to do the exchange the "right" way. That exchange was at 120k miles, now at 140k miles I am good for many more years. Give me time to find someone close to Austin I would trust to do a complete fluid exchange.

Ok I know the part. Thanks. And the spider joint is where?
...and I plan to get well over 200 out of my trans. Not sure how fresh fluid would be bad in a properly operating transmission. Shifting better, worse or indifferent after?
no different. Shift is smooth in between gears. Put about 150 miles on it today. Tomorrow will be around 100. So far no issues. However, today at intermittent times I would smell a faint burn smell. Not sure what that's about.

They probably spilled some fluid and it is slowly burning off. If it still smells in a couple of months then have it checked.

Theres 3 mechanics for Florida listed here: CRUISER MECHANICS - Listed by State If you have any questions I would look one of them up.
Thanks for the info. That will be helpful. I had a mechanic who was to work on the rack and he had it sit in a bay for 2 days. He was fired. Made him go to his shop 9pm to open up so I could get my car. He hadn't touched it. I like my mechanic but I never trust any mechanic 100%.
