Speedometer
Just installed the @Lutz Auto speedometer calibration unit. I'm very impressed with the ease of it and overall it's great having updated speed and odometer readings. It did take a little tweaking, but after playing I've got it pretty dialed in.

Does it feel like you need engine mapping (tune) with all the gear and weight?

That is what always had me interested in this motor since they have been boosting it more in UAE
It’s a little more sluggish off the line, low rpm, haven’t really used it with the new tires yet…

It being an OT+ it has the drive modes which is like a built in pedal commander.
Overall when the turbos kick in, there’s no lack of power.

I’ve got some more goodies to put on tomorrow, King suspension made front KDSS links that should allow a little more travel from stock.
Perry parts bumpstops for the front and rear to help limit travel and stop the harsh bottom outs (I like to jump railroad tracks 😆)
Dr KDSS panhard correction.

It looks like this rig may get swapped out for my other Hx on my west coast adventure for the next leg, so a seat delete may be due next along with a Gobi rack to replace the factory rack and mount up the new James Baroud Space I found a smoking deal on at nearly 50% off for a new one.

I’m also not trying to go dune climbing 🤷‍♂️

Get I love you get out and beat on it.
Ripped a fender flare off and dented the front fender on the last trip in the Ozarks, but I blame @WharfRat for getting a flat and having to wheel in the dark. 🤷‍♂️ plenty of pin stripes from that trip too.

Ran out to Tilda Bogue the other morning early and got the KDSS links, panhard correction and Perry parts bumps installed, all of it was really straight forward and didn’t get any pics as I was racing to get it done before the afternoon heat descended on me. No real driving difference on road, can’t wait to get her back in the woods.

Great looking rig. Doing some research as I am thinking of replacing my 80 series with a more practical vehicle ie LC 250 or the GX 550

This rig should be headed west for the next few legs of our west coast adventure... Prior to heading out, I'll be mounting the accessory tray from dissent on the dual swingout. I ordered some snap shades to help keep the UV out of the interior while parked in Reno for the next few months. I'll also likely be ordering some drawers from GooseGear to help keep gear organized and cargo are free of clutter. I may delete the rear driver side seat as well and move the fridge forward for easier access while driving and not having to undo the swingouts and tailgate every time I want a trail soda.
