hey guys my friend has a 82 mini with a 88 22re and 93 Fuel injection. The throttle body is leaking fuel somewhere, have any of you guys had this problem and what is the most likely culprit?

also anyone ever have a u-bolt plate on the rear axle break off?

Need more info. Where exactly is the fuel leaking from? Where are you seeing it?

There is no fuel at the throttle body. The only thing on the intake plenum that could be the source is the cold start injector.

as it's not my rig I'm not really sure where it is coming from exactly. you guys have a photo of the cold start injector? Other than the leak it runs fine. U-bolts I believe were fine, just the bracket that broke and shifted.

i do not have any good shots, but it is right on the side of the air-chamber, in the middle.

here is the best shot i have, it is inline with the I on the engine side.

Well since the engine was out of the truck and bolted to a stand at the time I took that pix I don't think it will be an issue. ;-)

is the red factory or did you do that!

No, I did that, acting vain. I usually don't do stuff just for looks but I had the time and some extra paint. I'm disappointed how "crusty" the aluminum castings look now after 5 years, I may get stuff powdercoated this time.

I like the black inlay on the intake. The polished parts wouldn't last one winter around here, then it would look terrible. My winch controller box is in the same spot.

If anybody has an old-school pre-85 rounded valve cover, I'm looking for one.

Wow, we certainly derailed this thread, huh?

Sorry about going off subject.:p I've relocated the solenoid box to my front bumper. My winch stopped working one day and took a look at my solenoids. Checked the connections and the pressure from pushing caused 'em to crumble into a bunch of pieces.
