Title says it all, Toyota made it difficult with a one off key fob for for the '21 MY. I had the YotaMD key on my 100 and loved it. I have reached out to YotaMD a lot over the last five years begging for them to make a fob for the '21 and it does not make sense for them, which I get. I recently reached out to AJT, as I do not see a '21 on their website.

Does anyone have a good alternative solution?

Is it possible to program your '21 to an earlier fob and use the YotaMD?

TIA for any suggestions.

The fob is not a “one off,” it was changed in 2019.

If you really want to be different, get the Lexus credit card key. You can have it cut and coded relatively easily.

Thanks for the call out!

I've got a new employee/partner working for YotaMD now. He's a designer and will be knocking out new designs with relative lightning speed compared to my glacial progress.

I'm not sure if this style of remote will have enough demand to warrant a spot in our catalog soon, but we'll keep an eye out.

FWIW, my strategy is to make functional titanium reinforced options for the integrated remote keys. For the key-less "smart" remotes I'm leaning more on the side of premium. The previous remote upgrades have been lackluster in sales. Barely breaking even after a year or so. I think it needs to be something really special to motivate enough people to swap out their remote. Not that the previous YotaMD ones aren't cool, but they're not a piece of jewelry or EDC-porn. I think with a little extra effort on the design and finishing side of things we can make something *really* sweet.

Also, that Lexus credit card key is amazing. Felt one for the first time recently. SUPER high quality feel on that thing.

Thanks for the thoughtful response, I totally get a low volume model not making sense, but I will hold out hope!!!

As an update, I did hear back from AJT, they believed the tundra remote would work on a '21 cruiser. He suggested watching the install video to confirm that it would fit before ordering. The internal is a different shape, so I think that one is out as well.
