Getting much more attention with the new bumper. Hearing people want a new LC but nobody has any to sell. Are dealers unable to get them now? @Eric Sarjeant had a listing of available LC at one time, I'm not finding it, thought it was in the classifieds?

I don’t run Eric’s dealership but I’m pretty sure he’s out, as are the other 1,200 dealers. There may be a few final stores holding out for crazy prices, but maybe only a couple.

New bumper? I assume you know ‘21 was the last year for U.S. sales. 200 LC production has ended.

Yes and yes. I didn't really plan to buy a new LC or any new vehicle ever. New wife thought I needed to replace the trusty 100 with 250k on it, had me stop at Grand Rapids Toyota to see if they had any we could test drive. I laughed and we drove over, and I ended up putting my name on a new LC.

I put up a thread about the ARB bumper install, in case anyone was considering it. Those are also hard to come by, had my name in at @sleeoffroad for many months before one showed up.

I’m also interested in knowing what inventory is remaining. I’ve considered buying a second LC200 to add to the fleet.

A few dealers on the East Coast listed a LC for sale, but when I called they said it’s already sold. One dealer said he has a new one in stock but it’s in “isolation” and he wants $10K over sticker.

At this point I wonder if it’s even possible to buy a new LC, let alone anywhere near MSRP.

6 left in the Southeast (NC, SC, GA, AL, and FL) and all are spoken for. Last allocation was months ago so nothing new coming from Toyota anymore.

I’d play the lottery, personally. Seems like better odds than finding a dealer that doesn’t feel entitled to a significant premium on a very scarce resource.

I would have never dreamed Toyota of Grand Rapids had a 200 let alone know what a land cruiser is! You really got a 2021 there? I saw your arb install, that was a big job

2020 I had a string of amazing finds and luck. Found an awesome wife; awesome house; all the appliances, contractors, furnishings we wanted to remodel; gorgeous house (mansion?) to rent during remodelling; promotion at work to captain; discovered the old boat I bought cheap had perfect engines and got it on the water; I'm sure I'm missing a few things.

So finding exactly the 2021 LC I would have ordered, at a dealership that shouldn't even have one, didn't surprise me. And I wouldn't be surprised if that was the only ARB bumper for a '21 LC Slee received, it was a bit of a wait, and they still show out of stock. I have bought a few lottery tickets, haven't quit my job though.

Good things happen to good people.
You’ve been through plenty. Glad for you

I saw a 2021 for sale today. It was used with 9700 miles. Dealership was asking $102,600

I was on a mission to find a new one, but last week, I settled on a certified pre-owned with 1900 miles. Had to pay MSRP, but I figured the 7 year power train warranty from the “certified” status was worth it. It had just come out of their loaner/rental fleet. The caveat….I flew from SC to buy it in Idaho, and drove it home in 2.5 days. 2500 miles. But totally worth it, good story to tell about how I got one of the last Cruisers from 2021.
