An alignment will help, once bringing caster into spec with the lift. Not a pipedream at all, there are many running 35x12.5 and up - the 285/75 was probably fine.Well, I switched from KO2 285/75R17 to KO2 285/70R17 today. I was having a decent amount of rub on the KDSS from my front left tire with fully turned to the right. No issues with the front right tire. I am still having rub on my KDSS with this setup although it seems better. I am trying to avoid spacers or KDSS relocation. The wheels are ICON Rebound (17x8.5 w/ 25mm offset) and have OME UCAs and BP-51's and front mudflaps removed. I have not adjusted alignment yet. Am I going to have to change the caster to help fit or is this a pipedream? It seemed people had a similar offset and setup and it worked.
Appreciate the link and feedback. I wasn't having any issues with the 285/75R17 with the wheel well itself it seems to be just the KDSS. I will post a picture later. I am guessing if I change the caster then I might have to trim some more.An alignment will help, once bringing caster into spec with the lift. I would focus on heatgunning and molding out any points of contact, redrilling the fender liner forward, and then trimming the corner of the rocker panel and sawing off the bracket that holds it in place. I run 285/70R17 on stock suspension (1" OEM coil lift) and stock UCA's, and I was even able to keep the outside portion of my mudflap.
You can see how I achieved that here. Fender liner and alignment adjustments go a long way in preventing rub.
