Happens a lot as it is very hard for me to actually see what I type (long story, but triple vision is very frustrating).
But anyway...even with the correct tire size (no typo)...I tend to think of my actual measurements mounted, and they tend to be smaller than spec...so my brain goes by on-truck measurements. You are right, of course...but on my truck/rock warriors, my 285/70/17 KO2s measured just barely 32” without the weight of the truck...so I call them 32’s.
