What: The 2016 40's Only Run

When: Saturday Sept 17th 2016 MEET UP AT 9:00am WE'll BE ROLLING BY 9:30am.

WE'LL STACK UP ON PARK AVE IN FRONT OF THE DAIRY KING... 181 Park Ave, Empire, CO 80438

Who: Anyone with a FJ40 or FJ4X Series Cruiser, 43's, 45's etc. are welcome!

Who is going: Kyle, Doug, Malcolm, Bill, Jessie?, Daryll?, Vic?

Why: To assemble the greatest number of FJ40's outside of Malaysia!

Where: Bill Moore Lake Trail near Empire Colorado

Doug and I plan on leaving Friday Sept 16 and camping. Camping will be up Jones Pass Road and dispersed. Free and wild!

That is the rising sun forum about this event. I plan on trying to get that Friday off, or switched to a day shift so I can head to whatever trail we end up doing on Friday and not have to get up at 3 am on Saturday to get to the trailhead.

@REZARF...looks like we'll have at least 3 rigs coming up. I'll do some looking at trails and see what we can come up with. I know I plan on camping a couple days as well.

It sounds like we will be doing Bill Moore Lake out of Empire CO for the 40s only run. Does anybody want to convoy up there on Friday evening Sept 16th and camp? There are a couple of campgrounds near Georgetown, and that would put us w/in 15 miles of the trail for Saturday morning. I was thinking of taking US 50, to CO 9 up to I-70 (meet up at US 24 and CO 9 for those leaving Springs). Trying to avoid lots of interstate driving since its scary in an FJ40!

I'll see what I can do, but with her working and having stomach issues creeping up again, she hasn't been real enthusiastic about wanting to 4 wheel.
