Hello All,

I am new to the 200 series Land Cruiser. I just bought a 2016 with 146k miles. I have searched many many threads here and I cannot find something that is my exact problem and it is confusing as to what years people talk about in the various threads and how universal the comments may or may not be.

My system allows all modes to work - defrost/feet, face, face/feet, feet, for the front system and all the rear system modes work. Cool box works too.

My issue is that when on A/C the front passenger side blows almost like a breeze (a little cool), just a touch of almost cool air. Both front sides get hot. For the rear, just the vents in the center console blow cold air, the others blow warm air (feet and head). All modes work in rear too.

My recirculation mode works too, and it fully engages and disengages properly with no apparent damage. My cabin air filter is dirty with a new one on order.

I did the Youtube code HVAC detection/reset where you can hold a couple buttons and the code is displayed in the center console. It showed 43 and I cleared it via the Youtube procedure and it now shows 00 when doing the check. I have since pulled the a/c fuse, tried several of the Youtube "resets" by simply trying to reset using the "on" mode on the vehicle and then running through the temperature from cold to hot to try to reset the computer, but nothing has worked.

I got this vehicle from an Audi dealer and they did recently replace the battery. I have seen that this code can trip due to low battery or battery replacement but I not sure if this code relates to my problem especially since the code is "gone" now and I have the problem. Is it possible that I just need the dealer to reset the servos now? I do not have any of the readers or software programs to do any testing and I am not sure I would trust myself to do anything with them anyway.

Any insights are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You need to do the hvac damper servo recalibrate procedure found in several threads on this board. Toyota techstream software or sufficient emulator required. You can get a tech stream emulator off Amazon for like $200. If that doesn't work then it may actually be one of the dampers is physically stuck or broken.

Thanks. Mine blows full air out of all vents, just the temperature difference.

I guess this stuff is outside my grasp at the moment. I did read through the TSB and frankly it confuses me more. More to learn for sure.

i have gone down this AC rabbit hole recently.

especially since you had your battery replaced recently, you need to reinitialize the servo motors.
you need techstream or a capable tool for that. do that before you do anything else.
