Yes somewhere in the San Juan MountainsAnybody going to be doing wheeler on the 19th?
We've done wheeler before and we would do it again if you want to go. Great camping at the end of the trail right by the lake if your up for it. Let me know if you want to go. You shouldn't have any issues on the trail.I have never been to wheeler lake but I am not doing the San Juan's until the 24,25,26,27. The wife got extra days off for that and it can't be reversed. Not sure I want to do wheeler alone if no one else is going. I need to do a little more research on the trail.
jaws one has a bypass. jaws two is easier and less dangerous than people think. and jaws 3 has a bypass. pretty much every hard part has a bypass.
here is a video of the area and some of the stuff to see.you can see on the window of the video below jaws one and to the right of the silver jeep is a flat area to go around it.
This is what I got from the fj cruiser sight. It's gonna be 2 years old this year so the trail may have changed, but I don't think it seems to terrible. If you can handle watching jeeps going up it. The guy in the orange jeep used to have an orange fj cruiser. Looks like it would be an epic run.
