So....a little different take: Lets suppose you get $40k for the '13 to a private party. You can buy the '21 for $70k, which means you're out the additional $30k to do the deal. Depending on a bunch of other stuff, you could keep the '13 for your adventure vehicle and ALSO have the '21 for around town and highway use for a measly $400-500/mo.

BOTH is better than either/or.

Plus the rest of us can get some rest instead of worrying about your buying decisions!

✌️

$70k for a 21 with 44k miles? Where in the planet??

I was surprised to hear about the $40k for a '13 with 144k miles...

Hell, if I can get similar to that for my '13... my Carmax offer was $35k with 28k miles.

Thank you 😊. I have never said that.. but that will be a FANTASTIC price.

Thank you 😊. Again, I have never said that. And that CarMax offer was crazy for a 28k mi 😳.

Still have not decided what to do 😂🤦🏿‍♀️.

Thanks y'all !

Unless you are trading in and getting a great deal on taxes, never sell to Carmax. They will always low ball you and take you for a ride real hard.
Can confirm. I only go there for what I’d consider to be the lowest offer to start from.

I heard Carmax had low offers, but there has to be a limit to taking advantage of someone...

Personally if it wasn’t white I’d do it, but being I’m not a huge white fan anymore I’d stick with the silver. My wife’s X5 is white and other then the ease of keeping it clean, I don’t like it especially the ridiculous sun glare off the hood at certain parts of the day.

I was in the same situation last year. I had the chance to pick up a super low mileage, hardly ever driven (truck legit looked like it was just delivered) LC HE for my 2011. I passed because I couldn’t do white again. I drove it, loved it, but just couldn’t.

Well, after a lot of thinking and more reading , I have decided to keep the 2013 old gal. She is purdy and if / when I decide to replace / add to her, it is going to be a brand new car. I have worked hard since I was 10 yo and that will be my reward one day. Very possible it will be a LX600 since I still trust Toyota over others but we shall see.

Thank you VERY MUCH y'all for all the comments and support. I really do APPRECIATE all your words. 🫂.

Cheers.

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

I am in similar boat. I have a 13 lx with 172k miles. Just had struts and globes replaced. Wow. Huge improvement. I also had valve cover gasket, heater t hoses replaced, coolant flushed and spark plugs. I have had 5k mile changes done it. Radiator and all cooling components replaced at 85k miles when I purchased it.

My lx is white. Love the white.
