Ok, finally was able to confirm that I'll be able to attend SCC!! Does anyone have room for 1 Chevy Impala on their site? I'll be sleeping in my passenger seat and would certainly help with camping fees, could I just park in the parking lot at Superlift, or should I just get a spot at the KOA?

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing y'all there!

This is a man after my own heart! Someone help this guy out.

If they were it prolly had something to do with an odd suction around the drivers seat area

No, if you remember, you instructed Jrob to attach a "push strap"!

It is going to be REAL DUSTY. Been very dry hot summer.

Brian you can pitch a .... you can crash at my sight if there is room. Just park your car in parking lot because you got to cross a creak to get to my sight.

Cool, thanks Mike!

I'll admit to misjudging that step just a bit but the strap was actually for the next step in that photo. Your P-side front tire was just about to drop into a fair size hole (as seen in the photo) and I was concerned about your passenger side getting into that rather large rock. And no, you still had a minimum of three tires on the ground at all times. In any case - it was my fault and I'll try to do better :)

The "push strap" remark from Shane goes down as one of the all time best though!

Thanks everyone for pre-registering.

If you didn't pre-register that doesn't mean you can't come, it just means you aren't guaranteed to get a t-shirt and some other cool stuff.... Bring your junk and register at the event!

Awesome Brian! I was beginning to think you'd already left town! When are you going to be there? Yes, you can sleep in the P-lot for free; I should have my whole rig there and sleeping in the P-lot as well. If you need shelter at any time, the whole back area of the trailer will be open for "residence".

How about recommendations on places to eat in town. I know about McClards. Any other recommendations out there?

La Hacienda on Central across from Cornerstone has awesome Mexican food.

Pancake Shoppe downtown is a popular breakfast spot. Get there early and be prepared to wait.

Rod's Pizza on Central is good. Get the Godfather.

Whole Hog is pretty good in the Temperance Hill Square shopping center, or there's also one downtown, I believe.

Finally I decided to come and the Registration was closed!

I had to wait till the last moment for the usual thing, waiting on parts!

Ordered the reinforced Drag link a long with the HD rod ends from IPOR since early September, about a week went by and received a ph call from IPOR saying that the rod ends they sold me were not the ones for the drag link tube, that I needed to order stock parts for such drag link, as it's they were nice about it and gave me toyota part #s

I went ahead and ordered the stock rod ends for the Drag link.

It took 2 days to get them from Oreillys.

....Surprisingly, they're Japanese made rod ends, how about them apples?

Now I did not realized that I had the wrong drag link until I received the new rod ends.

When I tried them, the drag link has a bigger diameter then the rod ends!

The diameter on the tube was for a 23mm rod end(the one on the tie rod) and I needed the ones for the drag link, which are 21mm

....So I had to call back IPOR and tell them about my issue, which I got no answer from them, but I called their supplier Budbuilt.com. Bud is a great guy, he helped me and sent me the right one.

Which I just got it today!

All I need is to put the drag link, and rear shock and we're good to go!:hillbilly:

Bodean I would like to get a shirt, XL Size sir!

Guys,

I'll be coming in on Friday the 14th, but probably a little after 6PM. I see that registration closes at 6...since I'm the new guy, who do I ask for, what to do when we get there, etc?

Thanks,
