2011 Jeep Liberty Sport (1 Viewer)

I bought a Curt a Front Mount Hitch. Model #31020. Made to fit 08-13 Jeep Liberty.
It installed fine according to instructions. The only thing wrong is the 'Oil Filter' cannot be removed with the hitch in place.
Has anyone encountered this situation? Does anyone know how to fix this, leaving the hitch in place?

Actually Curt sent me some diagrams on what to do, But we are having some bad weather and have not had a chance to check it out.
If anyone has dealt with this I would be glad to hear how you resolved it. Thx
