Bummer. I have a 4 day that weekend yet I cant go that far away from work. I hope there are a lot of great pictures posted up.

Come on over for some rafting at the white water center then. Charlotte meeting:D

Take a look at it, and see if we need to add anything. I'll have a "packet" for everyone when we arrive so don't worry about printing this one out, it's not going to be the greatest in resolution...

Brian, my buddy had to bow out due to family obligations (he has a 3mo old baby). I will cover any additional expenses that might create.

Just checked the weather... I am staying optimistic but right now its rain thursday, friday, Sunday... Lets hope it shapes up a little as the week progresses.

Been looking at the same thing, let's just hope it turns like you have said, from the pictures and videos it's not a typical place I would want to test the limits in the rain.

I agree with that statement. looks like it would have my pretty sheetmetal shakin in in boots....

Hmmm...go go gadget magnetic cruiser armor! Could be a winch work out in the very least. I just got back from Boone a few hours ago and the leaves are just beginning to go. Next weekend should be perfect for colors.

I really want to go but not sure if I can get the 40 ready in time. I had not posted up my intrest before because of work schedule. Now its official that I get a 4 day pass next weekend so I will see if one I can convince the wife to let me go and two I can get 2 new tires by thursday.
If I do decide to roll out. I would be arriving friday early in the a.m.. Do I have to make my own reservations? if so what is the campsite # the group will be staying in.

DEL

It shouldn't be a problem. I'm going to follow up with the campsite tonight for the specific site numbering, since we'll have some arriving Wednesday night.

Greg, do you need me to let them know you'd like to check in on Wednesday? I'll confirm with 20 people.

Del, just check the intinerary for what you should bring. Everyone, we're going to pick up the groceries in Harlan, and we'll get a total for food then. If you'd rather cook your own, just let us know, and we'll count you out.

We discussed the Triad meetup point earlier. Triangle members, the BP near Southpoint Mall has worked well in the past, unless you guys like a different one...

apparently there is a place called Frankies or Franks pizza that supposed to be pretty good in Harlan we could hit THursday night....

Brian, I assume on the dinners that we are on our own for dinner Thursday and Friday and Saturday is the chilli?

Nope Thursday night I figured going into town and getting something rather than setting up camp and eating. Friday night is a Harvest themed dinner, and Saturday night is Chili...

In keeping theme with the Oktoberfest on Friday - maybe we need some Sausage & Kraut??
(Plus there is a sale on Hillshire farms right now - ha!)

Alright, few things noted....everyone try and bring some wood to ensure we are covered...then again we are going to be in a forest...anyway bring some wood.

TO ALL, IF you have any spare parts that you would consider "essential in having" or anything you might second guess bringing, bring it chances-are you will wish you had of. That includes warm clothing, and RAIN GEAR!

Brian, Heather, and many others have worked hard to make this another great trip for the club so lets make sure and get plenty of photos, and assist them throughout the weekend as best we can.

We'll be sporting a Flip Video too, if UPS gets it here. Jerry may have to bring it up, but HD video will be good to go!

Can't friggin' wait! Don't forget beer. I think Harlan is dry.

 R

Harlan is in fact a dry town.

As far as wood goes, the areas surrounding the camp sites have been picked clean of dry wood. Last time I was there they had some wood along the main trail for fires but it was all fresh cut and wet.

You guys are confirmed for Wednesday, just let them know my last name.

We've got 5 sites, 4 are together, the other is about 100' away. They are 20'x50' so we may be able to fit everyone in together. There is a parking lot, so I would park the trailers there... All have electric and are close to the showers...

Currently, they're under a 50% chance of showers but are not getting anything, so the campsite is optimistic in this weeks forcast, but then again they don't want to scare us away!
