The engine was just replaced with a rebuilt (112k miles) as the water pump went in the old one. The engine comes with a one year/12k mile warranty. Listed for $18.8k but will take $18k.

It's the cleanest I've seen. Is it way too much? Should I wait it out?

i would wait. these engines shouldnt need any rebuilding unless it overheated or something. 18k for over 100k miles is on the high side.

I'm probably just going to wait until I can find a GX or Land Cruiser for sale on here.

Hard pass. You can find lower miles for less with original engine and properly taken care of.
