Got things squared away on my truck today.. 1 more 45 will be showing up. Only problem I have is I am not sure where I am going. I can't find a "blue Lake" or Deer Valley south of Lake Tahoe.

Any other directions? (and wife wants to know about bathrooms)

yup, that's it mike. sorry i did'nt reply earlier with the map and location. the event is being held at the north end of the trail cause the south end at hwy 4 is the more technical section and would be too difficult for the stockers. this way everybodu can take their rig on the trail and have a good time.

see you guys there!!!!!

Questions, questions and more questions

Hello to all you FJ45 owners,

Greenfox has graciously extended an invitation to me and my family to join you in our new FJ cruiser on your Labor Day weekend run. I hope you don't mind.

I also learned that my co-worked, mr.manny, may also be attending. Apparently he has already agreed to donate ice cream to the raffle so I guess I'll have to find something else to contribute. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Now for the logistics. Where do you all plan on meeting and when?

I'll be coming from the Roseville area so it doesn't make sense to meet up with Greenfox in Stockton. I understand from him that several of you are meeting at George's Saturday morning for a leasurely (slow) drive from there.

Will you be approaching the trail from the North (Red Lake off 88) or the South (Lower Blue Lake off Blue Lakes Road)? When do you expect to arrive at the trail head? Is there an established meeting point near the trail head?

Which camp ground will be base camp? Lower Blue Lake campground, Middle Creek camp ground, Upper Blue Lake Damsite campground or Upper Blue Lake campground?

Does the fun begin at the trail head or after the base camp has been established?

Sorry for all the questions. I am an excited rookie and don't know what to expect.

Any minimum equipement requirements?

damn, that's a lot of questions from a newbie!:flipoff2:

just kidding! of course you're welcome to join us. it's a free event, there's no registration. i'm not sure when i'm going up there. at this pint we have so many people interested in coming that i'm considering going up on thursday or friday to reserve as many camp sites as possible. i think teapot is heading up early so maybe we can all meet at my place like we have in the past and then caravan up together. pretty cool seeing a caravan of cruisers in your rear view mirror.

i'm going up to the location sometime this weel to nail down which campsite we'll be staying at. it'll be one of the blue lakes locations, that's all i can tell you for now. basecamp will be there.

more info when i get back from the spy trip.;)

looks like we'll be caravaning up on saturday morning from my place. i'm pretty sure teapot will be heading up early and should be able to reserve plenty of sites for us. you're more than welcome to crash at my place. i'll put a "reserved" sign on the guest room door for ya!;)

I cant wait. missed last years, but not this year. Georg, what time are you caravaning up from yuor place? Might try to meet you there and head up in the FJ45 from there.

i think we'll try to head out at 9am but that's pretty flexible. glad to hear you're gonna make it again!:)

I'm planning on heading up in my 40, on saturday morning.
Is anyone else coming up the Hwy 4 side, I'm in Arnold and this would be much easier for me to do.

Josh
