I just completed replacing the telescopic motor on the steering column and when putting back all of the panels I noticed a loose electrical connector to the right of the steering column. Could it be for an option that wasn't installed on the 100. May be for a AHC that I don't have. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. That's the sensor for the cabin air temperature. This sensor falling down from it's intended place in the under dash cover, or the corrugated pipe falling off in one end, is a common cause of malfunctioning hvac control. Gives you e.g. only full heat or full cooling, as you adjust the temperature, in some cases.
