I've wanted to perform a nav delete on my 2003 for years, and I've recently found some folks on youtube that show the process. The 2003 is a little different than the rest. It appears that the parts needed from TOYOTA are no longer available so I have been searching for another source.

Some folks on here have dealt with Shahab Akbar from Pakistan. He offers a kit for $780 that supposedly has everything I need. There are mostly good reviews of dealings with him.

My cynical brain makes me wonder if I am even talking to the same person on facebook. I've had some friends who had their facebook accounts hacked, or generally had someone impersonate them.

Does anyone have contact info for Shahab, or know of a way I can be sure I am talking to the same person?

Thanks in advance.

omg, 780. ya, I know him. Just don't. whatever ac amps he's sending lately don't put them into a 2003+. 01-2 yes, 03-5 maybe-06-7 NO.
better off with grom, or whatever next Chinese s*** there is.

Thanks for this, but they seem to only solve the radio side of the equation.

I wasn't very clear about why I am interested in a NAV delete, it is because my climate control stopped working again. I have repaired it a couple times in the past by replacing the NAV screen, but they are getting hard to find... also I found that there were several different screens used in 2003 and you have to luck into the right model.

To me the solution is to get rid of the factory navigation and go to manual climate control. The radio issue is real, but not my main concern. If the climate is taken out of the loop I can get some radio to work.

Not sure about your original question but if you need an alternative this brand has been getting some better traction compared to some of the other "Tesla" style monitors. Seems to be a solid solution for 100 series

I didn't do much research on the 03+ I have an 02

Go back to the main search for OEM equivalent replacements looks like they have some for climate , I think

I bought my nav delete parts from him last year. He's legit, but man I was worried it was all a scam.

I paid $750, so price sounds about right. There are some murmurs that a kit might be available in the near-ish future that gets us the manual controls so I might hold off and see what that looks like before I build the wiring harness myself.

I have an '03 as well....no issues with HVAC and all the display functions work except for NAV....been contemplating getting something with better picture quality with carplay and found the Seicane.....thought about the $750 conversion kit from overseas but if the Seicane is $400 all in, I might go that route....

where is the rumored new kit from?

Hi there, out of curiosity, whats the details on this kit that might be coming available in the future? E.g. is it from the seller in Pakistan, an aftermarket new solution, or someone grouping all the bits together?

I've got an 04 and would love to go to manual controls and get rid of the stock screen, but not sold on any of the aftermarket stuff.
