Yeah, the key tag for the transponder is in the electronic part. An empty shell wont work.

I am already waiting on another 1010keys cut key, with a transponder inside the shell.

New key arrived today, with transponder.
TechStream programming went over perfectly.
Now I can sleep better.


I'll see if I can source two transponders (remotes?) for the initial two cut-keys I received.

I have used 1010keys in the past, and they were very accommodating.

I have also picked up used keys with remotes (electronics inside) on ebay, and then transferred the old electronics into the shell from 1010keys and then reprogrammed to my vehicle... Its a few hoops to jump through, but sometimes you can find a cheap used remote that way.
