Some of our best trip memories are those looking back at some type of hardship we all endured together. A couple of those have been some epic camp fails around Moab. We were dispersed camping tho… with hookups, yall will be fine. A good nights sleep with some AC will be a major advantage.

Grab a milkshake and burger at Milt’s while yall are there.

Well we're in Arches. No water, elec or sewer at the site. There is a vault toilet nearby and a sink with bathrooms about a 1/2 mile away. We have our own water with the trailer and all elec is solar. We're boondocking, sort of.

I don’t know what yalls appetite for off road is but maybe find some trails to run in the hottest part of the day. Last year we went into Canyonlands and did Shafer to Potash which comes back out in the canyon by Moab.

Moab is one of those places that’s really beautiful but once the temps get near or over the 100 mark it can be tough.

Yesterday we arrived mid day to 100F temps and VERY high winds. Those weren't the issues. It was the dust. My wife who doesn't mind hunting Elk in Montana's Bitterroot mountains in November was uttering subtle hints like "Get me the <> outta here". However the winds died down after dusk and temps this morning was 73F!!! So after a good night's sleep things are a lot better.

Re. Offroading. My LC suspension is stock with firestone airbags and michelin defender tires. I have little to no "offroading" experience, at least not to the level of you guys.

We will stick to either paved or dirt roads and try and hike from the trailheads at the parking areas as far as we can.

Canyonlands is on our list, and again we will calibrate where we go based on the above.

With that said, we're headed to moab this morning to visit with Moab Adventure Center. Perhaps we can get a pro to take us out in a vehicle built for this area. We will also try and book a guided Colorado rafting trip; maybe a 4 hour. My wife and I have fond memories of canoeing the Shenendoah River rapids when we were younger.
