@Asinclair1086, I might be biased but that that wheelset with 305s looks great on an LC! A proper ground pounder. Cheers to more beef.

Does that front bumper cover hide an OEM winch perhaps?
 
Last pics taken with this 100 in the stable. Cameras don't do justice to size comparison IMO. The 200 drives way different and feels bigger. Have since added 305/55s (pics to come). I think it's crazy comparing rear bumper height, end gate/lift gate height and even rocker panel clearance and how it's so different.

It’s slightly bigger than the 100, but not by as much as it seems.

As for its “bulgy” appearance...here’s why...
-Practically every square mm behind that sheet metal is STUFFED with mechanisms and doodads!

Here is what lurks under the rear driver panel...looking in from the rear hatch...

Agree, just drives way different so gives a perceptive of 'feeling' bigger. Wow that's no joke, thanks for that pic. I had no problem ripping into the 100 putting in USBs, the SL3B bluetooth, running fridge wire to rear...but more reluctant to rip into this one. We'll see as needs arise.

Goals for this month:

1. Replace KM3 35s with Baja Race 35s.

2. Install 10 point roll cage

3. Install racing seats(in process of selection)

4. Discuss front drive train and transfer case removal, since I only do wide open desert runs (100kg+ front end weight reduction + will allow for 3 inches of extra front travel by removing the limit strap, steering box modifications will allow even more 20+)

5. Plan the rear link long travel coilover conversion. 3.0 Internal bypass triple rate KING coilover. (200lb-300lb-400lb). 24+ inches of travel

6. Discuss replacing front ICON shocks with a 2.5 internal bypass dual rate king coilover (600lb primary rate, 800lb secondary for big jumps).

7. Replace front 2.0 KING bump stops with 2.5 x 2.5 travel bump stops. Significant increase in shock absorption.

8. Plan out the fuel tank removal and fuel cell installation (bit cage).

9. Discuss supercharger installation, engine is the last priority though, suspension and saftey is on top of the list.

10. Custom engine mounts that wont bust open on each weekend bash!

Many plans!, Ill post updates! and progress pictures.

We used Recaro ProRacer HANS SPA carbon/Kevlar seats when I raced for Subaru. They are snug and comfortable for 12 hours and protected me from a number of significant impacts and rolls.
 
@ToyotalsLife, joe bacal's 570 is now the landcruiser "Monica" being raced in Baja 1000 next week.

Cruiseroutfitters can give you all the info on their shock/suspension set up, but they race stock full size SUV, which limits their modifications to suspension. they run stock components except for shocks and safety equipment.

Prerunner Blog:

I woke up extra early this weekend morning to ensure I have time to record some "decent" footage of my LC200. Had allot of fun, however unfortunately the fender is not handling the abuse, well the bolts at least, they broke open and now the fender is partially hanging out. However since this is a completely new project that I am working on, I'll slowly realize where the issues are as I am progressing through the build and hopefully by the end of next year I will have a solid build, slowly taking notes and inspecting issues and what causes the issues to prevent future issues.

What I learned from todays test:

REAR END CANNOT KEEP UP WITH THE FRONT!, (Until I get a solid 4 link long travel in the rear which is hopefully going to be somewhere next year, planning stage is now I absolutely cannot rush this. I will compensate by adding even more rebound damping and also compression)

- I need more spring rate upfront (I am probably going to wait this out, Until I get the KING dual rate internal bypass coilovers for this build, since going up to 800lb in a single rate coilover wont ride very well on the small stuff, having a dual rate means I can adjust the cross settings to allow the 800lb to kick in the last 4 inches of travel which is perfect for absorbing exess energy from jumps and still allowing the shocks to cycle through the travel on normal stuff).

Pictures: (Pay attention to the KING bumpstop black O-Ring picture the first picture is before the jump and the second one is after the jump, U can see 90% of the bumpstop travel is being used, this is perfect, last 10% is a precaution for unexpected hits, however I am still planning on replacing it with a larger 2.5 diameter bump stop as opposed to the one I have now which is 2.0, 2.5's are able to absorb significantly more energy):

Hydraulic bump stops are awesome. I remember the first time we got them on the rally cars - maybe mid 00s - I think we were running exeTC or maybe Reiger. It was like even the biggest teeth-cracking hits became more manageable... and in turn you can tune the high-speed bump in the damper to be more linear. All good stuff! Thanks for the pics.

Really regret I couldn’t get my projects done in time for the dunes this weekend! Somehow the event escaped me til just a week before when Cole asked if I was going.

Tried...

-Redid brakes...replaced front rotors...
-Finished MAJOR wiring in the rear...
(Replaced 4 gauge inverter wire with TWO 1gauge wires. Hugely difficult to fit.)
-Many other wiring and interior efforts.

Gotta sort out some 4Lo/4Hi switching issues.

But anyway... I’ll make it next year.
Looks like y’all had a great time.
