Not sure if this has been posted anywhere in here yet, but it looks like the actual remedy is finally available as of July 31, 2019. Toyota saying they will begin sending out notices in mid-August.

Involves the replacement of the passenger side seatbelt assembly, I assume an updated version.

Put your VIN in Toyota.com/owners

Sigh.

I just spoke with Bernardi Toyota in MA to try to schedule the service. The woman said that they don't have the parts but she could put me on a list to be called when they get the parts, which to me suggested that they weren't actually going to order the parts for me. When I politely asked to speak to a manager, she said sure, and the next thing I heard was a dial tone.

I just hate dealerships.

Y'all need to ask for a loaner until the parts get in. I think you'll get the repair very quickly.

Has anybody had the repair done yet? I have a 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser which is included in the recall and I contacted my service advisor at Bellevue Toyota here in WA requesting an appt for early September.

It was pretty straightforward making the appt with him so hopefully appropriate parts will be available by then.

Advisor said the recall repair is new so he is not sure how long it will take but he will provide a loaner vehicle free of charge if I didn't want to wait at the dealer for it.

I called a different dealership. They are ordering the parts and will call me when the parts arrive.

Mine goes into Toyota of Portsmouth on Monday, I just made the appointment a few minutes ago.

When I called, the guy first tried to tell me a remedy wasn't available yet. So I nicely told him the website says it is and many folks have had the part swapped now. Suddenly they had the part available! No loaner allowed, I don't really care, I'll probably just wait.

I'll be putting a big sticker on the cabin filter door and locking the glovebox, and requesting they DO NOT wash the truck.

I bought my 2010 LX570 last week from a private party and got the recall completed the same day from Lexus of Seattle. They replaced the passenger front seatbelt. Took 2 hours, no cost.

Jinx you owe me a beer. 7am tomorrow recall and 55k service.....Asking for an LS loner, it's a beast. I drove one at the Lexus Driving Event along with the LC500 through a road course. Enjoyed driving their cars immensely.

EZ PZ. Recall included Coffee, Muffins, Wash, Wipers, 55K service and a full tank of gas no charge. Arrived at 7am, left by 8:30am.

My Lexus dealer tried to tell me parts weren’t available yet. Asked them to look into it since it’s being done all over the country. They discovered parts are available and are getting back to me with time line.

I think the dealership takes gas out of my tank when I go

Yeah, I understand trying to give high end service at a high volume brand (Toyota) is difficult, but they are essentially the same vehicle at the same price. My LX was $10K cheaper CPO than a comparable LC which makes no sense to a non-enthusiast either. Love the car, weird situation in the US.

Around the world it's a different ballgame as it's THE platform of reliability, ruggedness and dune racing. Either winning or losing BIG (total vehicle destruction videos).

I just called Serra Toyota and asked about the recall. He told me that Toyota hasn’t distributed the parts to them. I asked when they would be in and he couldn’t tell me. I told him I wanted a loaner vehicle until they could sort it out . He calls me back 5 mins later and tells me the parts will be here Tuesday. Once you mention loaner vehicle it seems to get the ball rolling. Ridiculous
