Did my brake flush few days ago while replacing brake rotors and brake pads. Went with the EBC 7000 green stuff, so far so good. Thought I will share the setup I use. I love using this system and loving it with 1 person operation without cramping my wife's leg! lol The system consists of a Motive pressure bleeder, powerprobe master cylinder adapter and coupler. Powerprobe makes specifid master cylinder adapter for different vehicle. The adapter is well machine and works great with no leak or mess. The adapter works on most newer Toyota master cylinder with smaller cap including 100 series and my 2014 Sienna. Once setup I just unscrew the caliper drain plug and let it drain by itself while getting on other stuff, and come back to check in a minute a or 2. I used 3x 32oz Valvoline Synthetic brake fluid for the flush and have 1/2 bottle left.

I made my own pressure bleeder many years ago with a garden sprayer jug, but I would love to have that adapter. Got a link?

What pressure do you pump up the Motive? I never go over 15psi, I'm just afraid of blowing up the reservoir.

@ranma21 do you know if it will fit the 80 series MC?

I just did this last weekend on my '94 80. I love it. Motive is worth the money. They make an adapter for (older) Toyota which seals perfectly.

By the way, this adapter is a much improved design, compared to Motive's. Theirs works, it's just trailer park ugly.

FWIW, I had to pressurize the tank to 20-psi before the fluid would flow. I couldn't find the rated brake system pressure. I wouldn't worry about "blowing" the reservoir, the rated system pressure is probably much higher than the 30-psi the pump is rated for. If I ever get around to it, I'm going to put a pressure gauge on a bleeder screw just to see what the brake pedal generates.

Brake pressures are very high, could reach 1000 psi in a panic stop, but the reservoir never sees more than atmospheric in normal operation.

Great find on the adapter for the master cylinder. I've been using the universal screw down adapter with my motive bleeder and find it to be very sensitive. More than one time have I blown brake fluid out the sides and made a big mess.

Great. I just ordered everything. Now do I have the truck on? Not with the engine running. Just wondering if I could damage the brake system accumulator. I appreciate all the help. Thank you

Leave engine off. No damage to accumulator.
