Thought this might be helpful now that I have owned this 2020 for 2 weeks and been driving it every day. In short, I absolutely love it. I have driven a lot of cars and trucks, and recently had Tacomas and Tundras before that. The ride on the highway is amazing, smooth quiet, very insulated and the handling for me is great. I love the seating position and having a vehicle that's less common on the road too is cool. I find all the controls easy and logical. I would like a genuine sync button for the ac. I love being able to turn on and off the rear from the front by a button, good with kids. My kids love it and we are looking forward to being off road this summer but for right now here in Mass the weather has been worse than usual and this gives you a great feeling on the road.

I loved my Tundra but when you are on the highway and drive as much as I do, switching from 4wd back to 2wd is a pain since stretches of the road are constantly snow covered, then pavement. This eliminates that issue for me.

I planned for 15mpg and am getting about 16-16.5 which is better than I expected and compared to my Tacoma with 21 is worse but when you look at the difference in total it's not that much. For me it's worth it. the Tacoma was a great all around truck but I had a 2018 and 2019 and the ride on the highway was labored and got tiring getting up to 75-80 and it really wears you out on long rides overall. The LC like the Tundra just flies along so there is value for the V8 and fuel economy.

I installed the remote starter myself last week which is very appreciated. Only other gripe would be wanting better electronics but it really does everything I need well, music, phone so it's not really a problem for what I need.

All and all I am thrilled and if you are someone that wants a solid vehicle, appreciates the amazing abilities this has and wants something less common that actually holds value this is a great truck.

Well said!

How many miles have you logged thus far? I’m hoping gas mileage will improve a smidge post the 600 break in miles, when the rings have properly seated.

I’m with you on the mediocre electronics — lack of Apple Car Play in particular.

Oh and might as well post the year and model (LC/LX)

Glad you like it. Lots of people come here asking questions about the value over a GX or 5th gen 4R then when they get one.. they “get” it.

Well said! I've had mine for 52 weeks. It only gets better!

You have to spend time in one to really appreciate it, glad your enjoying yours good feedback. With the weather where you are I'm sure it gives you peace of mind to be behind the wheel of a sure footed and handling LC. I know I always felt my LC's were up for whatever weather or terrain I pointed them towards.

Welcome. The LC is the perfect vehicle for 4 seasons in the Northeast. I've had several cruisers over decades, and every generation gets better. Enjoy!

The 2020/2021 LC's are going to be the best of the bunch (LX or LC). Perfect balance of form and function. LC finally has a lot of the modern amenities LX owners have been enjoying for a while, but without the stuffy luxury persona. Depending on how the new platform of hybrid electrics work out, this may be the end of an era. I've set my 5 year plan on a 2021 LC and will to keep it long as possible.

Congratulations on the purchase!

I am at 1100 miles right now

Unless you’re just talking about Heritage Edition, basically 2018 and up LC are the best of the bunch. There is basically zero change from 2018 to 2020 except for HE.

I say 2018 because it has powered rear gate, power folding rear view mirrors, and KDSS bolt heads (instead of hex screw).

True - I was thinking BS monitoring and Carplay/Android would be added for 2020+ as well.

To be honest, if 2020 does not have it, then i am doubtful 2021 will bring it. There must be a hardware limitation somewhere because Lexus LX does not have it either.

No CarPlay. But my 2019 has BS monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Yes mine too. I am not sure if this is well known but the 2020 includes a power rear glass lift gate, it has dampened opening on the lower portion and the other item I didn't expect is the the lower portion has soft close so when you bring it up, the door will pull itself closed.

Agree!

I’ve driven a Land Cruiser for (including previous LC)...936 WEEKS... :hillbilly: ...and I have *never* stopped feeling lucky every single time I hop in the thing!

Just a great vehicle...

2018 and up has all those you mentioned.

I still stop and admire my LC everyday when i get home from work in my minivan.

2019 as well, but it’s slow 🐢 I’m too impatient to wait 🐇 so I selected mine off (now it is a manual open close)

I don’t think there’s any difference between the ‘18, ’19, or ‘20 (except the Heritage Edition)

Did you switch it off through techstream or is it a button in front?

Button lower right side of steering column, lower dash area. Right next to the electronic opening button. Button #4
