that's pretty sad murckman. There are cheap and expensive ways to install a stereo in an LC and LX. None of them include getting a full signal from the stock radio.

I don't know anyone that's taken all the speaker outs and used a processor to piggyback another set up.

if there was a magic bullet, the prius people would have found it long ago.
 
I followed Crutchfields advice and bought 4 ohm for front doors and the volume was ridiculously low so now i have to return them. Going to try repair kit.
 
The factory amp doesn’t put out much power but it’s rated at 2 ohms so going to four makes the amp work less hard (safe) but the output is less (why the volume is lower. 2 ohm drivers is optimal but also a lot of aftermarket options will need more power than the factory amp will provide. The factory system has factory eq to each channel so putting an aftermarket coax where that driver goes is not optimal. Best solution for this is probably refoam.
