Wife, kid and I hit an off-road park today. There were some tight and difficult bits that made me cringe - always wondering about my egress and if I would drag the bumper or tailpipe!

There was a Jeep that apparently got stuck nose down in water and hydrolocked! He only had it a month - ouch.

Anyhow, we made it out ok and will definitely be back!

That’s why we buy these trucks. They give you too much confidence sometimes :)

I have the same color as yours

Does look like Bridgeport. Do you guys wanna plan a trip together? I only had my LX for 3 months and can't wait to take it offroad. I'm in North Dallas.

I'm in. I think we could get a solid group from the DFW area together. I'm in Denton.

I wonder if I need to extend my breathers on my LX before I go there?

I would never tell you not to do that, but it completely depends on how much you like to play in the water. I've been there several times and always avoid going in anything deep. There are bypasses to pretty much everything. This is where all the local Subaru guys go to wheel their Foresters and Cross Treks - there is something for everyone.

If anything, remove your side steps if you haven't already and invest in some weathertechs or similar.

I don't like to play in the water just more as a preventative measure. I don't think it is easy to remove the side steps on the LX, I might just take it easy to avoid damage. My wife is pregnant so she does use the steps. First time in the LX so I will take it easy, I will not push it hard like I did my wrangler back in the day.

Please vote here on the time that works for everyone. If it does not work then just tell me and I will add more options.

Thanks for setting that up. And don't worry, there's plenty you can do in a bone stock LX with steps. Gotta love that AHC!

Sorry I'm so late replying. Yes it was Bridgeport. And absolutely we should plan a group meet up!

You guys want with or without fams?

That looks like a good time; have fun, guys!

I would like to get some experience before bringing my family. I have never done anything like this before.

I only show 2 responses, let me tweak it on the flight today.
I have done this in my wrangler but never in a LX - maybe will leave the youngest at home.
