@Chamba did a quick shakedown of the 40 with me and gave me some great insight of things to address.
My son and I got a SOV bikini top on last night. Didn’t like how they wanted me to drill more holes in the 40, so I drilled holes in the mount plate and used the existing threaded holes.
I’ll try to get pics this weekend

Have a few windshield frames where a PO has drilled the windshield versus drilling the universal two piece bikini track to match the OEM threaded holes. Believe Land Cruiser specialty businesses just sell them with three holes pre side instead of taking time to make a pattern and pre drill them for the 40 series. Center of both would be a half circle that a washer would secure. Each would still have three other bolts. Fifty plus years of owning FJ40s have seen plenty of half assed installs of aftermarket parts. I go by the saying "any job worth doing is worth doing right".
